Seriously, I've been playing some of these games (specially 1 and 2 on the PS1) for a couple of months and I can't do them.

I know I have to fill the special meter and then press some buttons in a specific order (like for example down, right and circle).

But it doesn't happen consistently. Sometimes I even just press one direction and a button and I do a special. I don't really understand how it works.

It doesn't really bother me, but now it's getting harder to pull big combos without using specials. So if anyone can explain it to me or show me a video where you can see what buttons are being pressed at the same time the gameplay happens, it would be deeply appreciated.
