Forgive me for formatting and spelling errors, I am on my phone while at work. This story is shorter than my last, so you don't have to worry about a wall of text.
I am trying to assist customers while brewing coffee, since I have spent all of my time at the register. While I am on my way back from brewing my last pots of coffee, a woman gets my attention. She points behind her and says, "That door is open." I look in the direction she is pointing and see that the door for Gatorade is sitting wide open. I reply, "Okay..." She says, " I just didn't want all the cold to get out." I said "Okay..." again while thinking "Why didn't you just close it?" I then go to the door, face her, and use only my index finger to push the door closed.
Why is it that as soon as someone goes from being a regular person to a "customer," they lose all sense of thought? I have to go and shut and door because you can't think to do it yourself? Or worse, you feel you don't have to close the door because it's "not your job?" I really hope these people don't procreate, but I won't hang on to that dream.
