Hello, everyone!
I have an interview lined up with an academy in Talinn, Estonia. They've mentioned that the pay might be around €1000-1100. While this is good for north eastern Europe, it's the starting salary for teachers, so I'd like to negotiate a little if possible if it comes up during the interview or later.
Does anyone have any insight on what could be a good counter-offer? €800 – €1,000 is the starting salary and higher salaries are around €1,500. The maximum salary (probably for local teachers and not TEFL) for experienced teachers could be up to €3000.
I have the CELTA, a Master's in Eng Lit from an English University and one year of teaching experience as an English Language Teaching Assistant.
Thank you! 🥂
Edit: Forgot to add - 24 teaching hours a week (not including prep), shared accommodation offered at €250, health insurance included, paid summer and winter breaks.
