Insight on working in Latin America
Post Body

Hello! I'm looking into jobs in Latin America and have a few questions:

  1. Are Mexico, Columbia, Chile, and Argentina good places to apply to? I'm aware of comparatively lower salaries, but as long as I break even and have some money to travel around the country, I'm okay with that.

  2. I read the Wiki and a few websites and it appears that I need to be on ground to apply for TEFL jobs and it doesn't make sense to apply from my home country. Is this true? Is it worth it to move there without a work visa and then find a sponsor? I don't want to work 'under the table'.

  3. I'm looking on British Council, IH, Dave's ESL, TEFL.com, and lovetefljobs.com. Are there other good sites to job search?

Thank you for any help!
