I just need to rant about something. I have noticed that the subreddit for international teachers are so hostile towards people who they deem "unqualified". I asked a simple question, because as people who also work aboard (it was about work visas and restrictions in countries i thought they might share some insight and information). But anyway they were completely mean and hostile towards me, talking about how "them" qualified teachers were having a hard time and there was no where that would hire a person like me other than a "TEFL school". I feel like they think we are less qualified to teach English abroad than they are and are taking their jobs or something. I mean I am in the process of getting my certification, in order to have more options (the same reason i am thinking about getting my masters). But that does not make me like this path less or be less of a teacher for choosing it. That really ticked me off.
