I'm taking a trip from the US to St. Petersburg toward the end of the year and have been considering looking for work as an English teacher while I'm there. I'll be there for a little over two weeks in the end of December and beginning of January, but I was wondering how realistic that idea might be. I have a bachelor's degree and did one of my majors in Russian, which I'd say I'm proficient in, and obviously I'm a native English speaker. The only TEFL certification I have is an online course I did last summer, which to my understanding from this sub is more or less worthless. I haven't taught English before, so this would be my first time. Again, just throwing ideas around in my head and wondering if the prospect of finding work there is realistic at all.
