Can acupuncture be effective when done once a month?
Post Body

...I suppose the answer to this question really depends on what you're being treated for... But maybe it does not?

A little background: I had an acupuncturist that I trusted to heal me and I found her visits comforting (she did more than just address my symptoms alone, she tried to bring everything back into balance as I'm told is the purpose of acupuncture). I was seeing her for a microbial imbalance in my gut (to describe the problem in western medicine terms)...

But the sessions are expensive (for me at, least) and I wanted to see her more often. But I read that in China, people see their acupuncturists multiple times a week in order to heal.

Are acupuncture treatments not as effective if you only do it once a month?
