I don't know where to go from here ...
Post Body

About 6 weeks ago (October 21st, 2016), two of my friends and I were pregaming at one of their houses before going to the bar. We were waiting at the top of the driveway for the Uber to arrive. My friend whose house we were at wanted to grab a tin of chewing tobacco from my house which is right down the street. Knowing that he was drunk and the Uber was about to arrive, I begged and pleaded him not to go. He ran back to his house and drove up to the top of the driveway to try and get us to come with him. The other friend was adamant about not getting in the car and I continued to beg him to just turn his car around. He basically scoffed at my requests and was about to drive off. To get him to stop, I jumped on the side of his Wrangler with my arms in the windows and feet on the wet running boards. This is where my amnesia begins...

As he accelerated, he hit a bump that leads from the driveway to the road. I was tossed off the side of the vehicle and neither of them know how I made impact with the pavement. They immediately brought me to my house and woke my parents up to help me. I had a pretty nasty gash on the back-right of my head and quite of a bit of road rash on my left knee. I complained of immense pressure in my ear canal and when I raised my head, blood started running out of my nose. My parents rushed me to the ER.

Memory is now slightly fuzzy... I remember the 5th and 6th staples being punched into my head and a CAT scan (I'm not sure which).

Memory becomes clear...I wake up in the ICU with a brain bleed, two basil fractures of the temporal region of my skull, air pockets and swelling applying pressure to my brain, blood in my sinus and ear canal, and contusions on the bones in my ear. Later they found that I had deep bone contusions in my left knee, a tear in the calf muscle, and a slight loss of hearing in my right ear.

The headaches were incredibly intense, my memory was shot, my mood was down, I felt slow, had no balance or coordination, sleep was an issue, experienced vertigo whenever I would wake up, I lost my appetite and thus I lost 10 lb. since the accident, my anxiety is through the roof (especially when driving - specialist and therapist both agree that it is PTSD), my depression has gotten harder to deal with, I'm incredibly emotional, and I just feel...off.

I should also mention that I've experienced 17 concussions prior to the accident.

I'm currently working with a specialist to deal with these issues and some of them have improved (a few significantly), but it has been 6 weeks now and I feel like it's taking forever to recover and that a lot of these symptoms are getting in the way of my day to day functions. Driving is has become a nightmare that I dread, work has become an issue, some day-to-day tasks are becoming too much for me. Hell, even when I ride as a passenger in the car, I freak out because I am so worried about somebody crashing into us and me hitting my head again (something that I was told by the doctor's could likely cause worse damage / kill me given the state that my brain is currently in).

It's getting harder and harder to accept that this is how things are and I don't know how to deal with any of it. I've considered applying for a service dog to help me with my anxiety attacks, deepened depression, and PTSD, but I'm not sure that I would qualify. I was wondering if any of you guys could offer some advice on what I should do about all of this or at least help me in not feeling so alone.

TLDR: Suffered a TBI 6 weeks ago and I need advice on improving my recovery
