PSA Accepted Incoming Freshman: better to do general studies or transfer major after freshman year?

Post Body

Got accepted to PSA and have been researching on the best path for me, but have seen conflicting information and was hoping for some experienced advice.

I applied to major in aerospace engineering but got PSA which aerospace isn't a part of . However since most freshman year engineering courses are the same, I could just change major and switch back my sophomore year. However on the FAQ page it also states that your major choice at the system school doesn't matter and you'll be placed in general studies if you're major isn't offered there, which puts me on course for when I assimilate sophomore year.

I'm confused on which route to take since most comments online don't mention the general studies route, which seems simpler but I am beginning to second guess my understanding. And they all discourage switching majors, the only other option that I know of.
