In 1825, a sword dating between the 11th and 13th century was found in the witham river. It bears an inscription that doesnât translate to any known language even to date. Most historians believe it was or Germanic origin, or atleast forged in âGermanyâ. There are numerous symbols that after a lot of reading, came to a conclusion that the symbols werenât ideally used by the same groups of people. The symbol above, is one that I canât describe so I donât even know how to begin looking it up. I was lucky enough to find the image while doing a reverse image search but it doesnât tell me what it means or what itâs called. The second image is the âinsideâ view of the sword if the wielder was right handed. The third image is the infamous inscription that still doesnât translate to anything. This isnât for any monetary gain, but rather just an intellectual and personal research for myself as an individual. I would really any responses that could point me to the right direction.
