Umm, Did Kahlen just proclaim herself as a potential fork of prophecy?
Like, typically the wording is "he shall name himself" but she 100% named herself as Fuer grissa ost drauka.
Without spoilers from any future book (just started chapter 1 of confessor) can anyone give me a good reason. That I shouldn't assume that she is somehow the one named in prophecy or at the very least that she falls on a false fork of prophecy?
They always talk about Jagang in prophecy as very specifically "the champion of suffering and death in the name of man and the creator." But for Richard we assume that he is the one named in prophecy because on his adventures, which Kahlen assists with generally, things tend to line up nicely for him and that "he shall name himself" business. But "he" could easily A: Be a mistranslation from high D'Haran. B: Be the royal "he" such as "mankind" or C: it is midnight and I have had 1 hour of sleep and need to be awake for work at 1 am and am in a wild state of mind theorizing all of this.
Legit when she said that I paused (audible) and my mouth hung open for legit like 5 minutes. Totally shocked and my brain started going down every single thing I could think of that properly explains all of this.
I love how Richard gets the spotlight of course, he is cool and in an odd way relatable. Wanting to find love, not understanding his role in the world etcetera. But now a whole new realm of possibilities has opened and I am here for it lmao.
