I got my acquisition permit, I just want to buy a pistol, just for simple target shooting, to get me used to using the same gun, get the feel for it, get used to it.. Who knows where it will lead..
I want to jump in fairly cheap and I see loads of ex-police pistols for sale, sub 1k type price, SIG P220 for example .
I'm looking at my local private range who have a shop, can I assume that these are good, working order, won't need immediate attention and so on? Or is it like the second hand car market where who knows what you're buying? Obviously I'm new to the scene so I'm hoping to just trust the seller..
