We want to use this opportunity to check in with you guys on the current state of the sub.

Few interesting things and stats:

• Even we as a sub noticed the influx of new redditors in the GME haze. Check out those stats: Traffic by Day, the columns are date/uniques/pageviews/subscriptions. During 27.01.21-02.02.21 we now had suddenly about 1000 new subscribers per day where as usually we idle around 200 new subscribers daily! Also, our pageviews have since then about doubled.

Things we want your input on:

• The image rule. It's basic premise was that we used to be flooded with images of the pretty Swiss landscape. This has now backpedaled somewhat but we attribute this also to Corona, as fewer international people travel here. Additionally the rule was designed so that all image posts need a short statement as top-level post to invite discussion - this is also a filter so that we know if people read our rules ;)
  • What do you think about the rule? Should we keep it as it is or should we get rid of it?
  • Drone videos: Can we ban them outright? They don't add any real value and are all quite similar? And most submissions are for karma farming and/or self-promotion.
• The corona rules. We admit, we had to make them pretty quickly but back then when the events first unfolded we were otherwise flooded by text- and image posts about that. We try to keep the discussion in the sticky thread and link post to news articles (by newspaper and/or the govt) are still allowed.
  • Are you OK with the rule that all non-news Covid-19 posts need to go into the sticky?
• The biweekly talk thread was a victim to the fact that we only can have two stickies and one is now permanently occupied for the corona thread since about a year now.
  • Do you miss the biweekly thread?

Finally, are there any other things you would like to have changed? Any other inputs?
