As an immigrant in Switzerland, how do you feel about the “anti-foreigner” sentiment? Have you ever been a victim of xenophobia or anything else?

Post Body

Hello !

This post follows one created yesterday concerning the Swiss anti-immigration paradox. Today, I would like to have the opinions and feelings of immigrants who came to Switzerland following an offer from an employer and who settled in the territory. Obviously, this is a free post, everyone and even Swiss people can come and give their opinions and comments (with respect for everyone, thank you).

  1. How long have you been in Switzerland?
  2. Was the job offer you received lower than or equal to the company's average salaries for the same position?
  3. How do you live on a daily basis with this “anti-immigrant” feeling that some people may have against you?
  4. Do you have any examples of xenophobic or racist experiences in Switzerland?
  5. Today, do you regret coming to Switzerland?
  6. How do you see your future in the long term? Stay in Switzerland and apply for a settlement permit? The nationality ? Return to your country?

Thanks!
