I missed my last bus from Nyon up to my village at the weekend leaving me a choice of calling the wife, hotel or taxi . All of them expensive one way or another :)

I opened the Uber app and saw 3 cars nearby, actually I could see them parked near the station, 3 battered old toyota prius and the drivers out sharing some kind of shisha pipe thing.. The app was quoting me 80.- to get home.

I walked down to the official taxi rank and asked the first driver, it should be around 60.- to the village he said.. So I jumped in the nice shiny S class merc and the final cost at home was 63.-

Is Uber like that all over CH ? Stick to traditional taxis?
