switch wont go into rcm mode from computer

hi there, i put in my jig and press the correct buttons and my switch won't go into rcm mode anymore,

what happens is that the screen stays black which is good news but when i put the cable in on my computer running tegrarcmgui the software doesnt detect the switch and instead the switch starts to wake up, i saw some other posts about people saying that it could be the right joy con rails but i tried to boot it into rcm mode without the cable or the jig and it woke up which means that its definitely not the pins,

any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
