retro Nintendo NES and SNES offline games

sooo, im new to the switch. bought an unmoddable new one and am wanting retro games that i dont have to pay $20 a year for and dont have to have the switch do a weekly check in to keep the online versions of the game available offline. Nintendo has released their little emulator machines a while back now, are there not carts with like 30 games on it for the nes and snes? i found the genesis and megadrive ones... what gives? am i missing something?
