Transferring the same SD card from old Switch to we Switch?

Post Body

Hi all hoping for some clarity here — I have an old (regular) Switch model. I recently bought an OLED switch and have already transferred my save data via the cloud (followed these steps: https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/45047/~/how-to-transfer-your-save-data-to-a-nearby-nintendo-switch-system).

However, I’m confused about what to do next. I want to move the same SD card in my old switch to the new one. Do I still need to connect it to my PC and transfer all the files before moving it to my new switch? Or can I now just remove the SD card/re-insert it into my new Switch?

I also have no idea if my Pokémon save data was moved or not, I’m confused about the lack of cloud backup there. I’m worried I messed up and lost all of that data. Any help here is much appreciated!
