Witholding Tax or Tax Declaration
Post Body

Dear Community,

I am an expat and moved to Switzerland few months ago. I did your swiss system some favor and paid in the max of the 3a pillar.

Of course I would like to deduct it from taxes. Therefore I need have to do the tax declaration.

Some information:

-not married
-no religon
-no kids
-salary around 80k
-source tax around 10,61% (720chf)
-to work and back i would need more than 1 hour with public transport
-i often use the car (could get a confirmation of the employer)
-I heard i can also deduct cost from a bike?

Somebody has some more tips to deduct taxes? Would you rather stay in the source tax or make a tax declaration. I think the difference would be fall.

Effort worth it? Of course I am no locked in my 3a max deposit.......

Thank you guys
