Got screwed by 3A insurance I think: what can I do ?
Post Body

Hi all,

My GF and I signed up a contract with 3A with an insurance 2 years ago and I did not know better. At the time, I wanted to split my 3A between bank and insurance, following what my family had always done. However, when I received my statement, there was a discrepency between what I deposited, the insurance that I agreed to (protection in case of work disability) and what was on the account. Unfortunately, it also coincided with a huge increase of work at the same time and I could not handle it straight away. This year, when I looked at it again, the discrepency further increased and it led me to you guys.

Fortunately, I had someone explained that it was brokerage fees that they billed, however : we were not explained these fees (they are about 600-800 CHF the first year, and about 200 CHF the second year, but then again, it's not transparent at all so one can only guess), and I cannot for the life of me find the terms and conditions of the insurance, either on their website, or in my physical documents.

Here are my question :

  1. Now, I already sent an email to cancel out the 3A immediately and asked for a compensation over my other insurances that I have with them. However, what will happen to the 3A when I cancel it out ? Will they keep billing me brokerage fees? And management fees?
  2. Plus, I have a legal protection insurance with them as well : if I would like to sue them, I reckon it would not work with this legal protection, right ? And would I have any chance if I sued them ? (In my contract, it is stated that I have been noticed of the terms and conditions, however if they were never sent to me, and it was impossible to find them online, can it be used against them?)
  3. Finally, if I do not get compensated, I want to move all my insurances that I have with them over another one (house, legal protection, car). What is the best insurance in Switzerland?

Thanks in advance !
