Over the last several months, I've seen a growing number of articles about people suffering with long Covid -- ailments that linger even after you recover from the usual Covid symptoms from Covid. (Sample Axios article).
My wife is one such victim. She's contracted Covid twice in the last 12 months, and she has been suffering with cognitive difficulties, fatigue, and fibromyalgia-like pain for the last two months. It's often random, but she tends to be in significant pain at least 3 or 4 days each week. She can't predict which day she'll feel okay, and it's such a helpless feeling for us both. We've been to several different doctors, and we're still pursuing anything that might help.
It might go without saying that we had to pull the plug on any lifestyle activities, and unfortunately, our personal sex life is pretty much on hold too. I'm not really sure why I'm sharing, except to say be careful? And I hope others don't experience this.
If you're in a similar situation, I guess you can know you're not alone too! We'll live vicariously through the naughty good times of others.
