Your racial preferences are your business. Keep them to yourself.
Post Body

This is an offshoot of another thread on here. Everyone is entitled to their preferences. You like what you like and thatā€™s no one elseā€™s business. However, when you broadcast on a profile what you donā€™t like, in an attempt to filter your DMs as in (I donā€™t like ${X} type of person), youā€™re setting yourself up to be judged on your preferences. When you bring race into the equation, good luck, people donā€™t tend to be charitable about interpreting your intentions.

The solution? Simple. Donā€™t like black men? Donā€™t message them. If they message you, just say ā€œno thanksā€. You could just not respond at all. Hell, you could even block them. No explanation necessary. Seems like it would be a lot easier than putting ā€œNO BLACK MENā€ on your profile and then defending yourself against accusations of racism.

Is it racist? Could be. I donā€™t know. I canā€™t read your mind, I can read that profile though and it looks kinda racist. Itā€™s unlikely that people will reach out for clarification. They will just assume you are racist and now youā€™re the one getting filtered out. Could have been avoided. Less is more. You donā€™t need to tell everyone everything.

Edit:

On second thought, disregard the above. Weā€™re all better off when you show people who you really are.

100% agree! We skip those profiles either way, if they say no black men or only BBC and we absolutely assume those people are racist.

100%, broadcasting your filter on race is weird
