dress code for Amsterdam?

Me and my partner are going to our first club in Amsterdam, because we will be child free while we're there. We're trying to figure out what to wear, especially footwear? We both always wear trainers or boots.
I love to dress up but always wear trainers. Pretty tall and I'm not comftorble in heels. I'm planning to wear a pink dress and pink converse, for the mandatory dress down, a pink Bodysuit underneath.
My partner is probably going to go for jeans and shirt. He's comftorble just in his boxers, but is unsure what to wear for shoes.
Were not looking at draw lots of attention, just want to make sure we get in!
