What was the biggest mistake you and your partner made in the beginning?
We drunkenly hooked up with out best vanilla friends' (they know we are in the LS) next door neighbors. Made it hard to go to our best friends' house because their neighbors have boundary issues. Luckily, we were eventually able to cut ties with them and they understood but for a while we almost felt like we had our best friends stolen from us.
That sounds exactly like our first full swap and it sucked. A quality couple isn’t going to insist that you fuck on first date. Now we take our time and get to know people.
How I dipped my toe into this world was in hindsight quite silly but I didn’t even know places like Reddit etc existed so just went with what we felt was right.
My husband always wanted me to experience another man, we have been together since our teenage years. When looking for a guy I went down the whole almost dating route, I found a guy and we hit it off etc, we spoke all day everyday, I really fancied him and we spoke just like you would dating in the vanilla world. It went so well up until we had sex, after that he started getting super weird and I felt so stupid for opening myself up for it after all this was supposed to be fun for me and my husband.
For as much good it did us getting into swinging / hotwifing it threw us back much further

What I mean was that we hooked up with a couple too closely associated with our vanilla life.
