Living in Las Vegas we get our fair share of tourists and business travelers hitting us up to meet. We’ve had a couple good experiences but mostly we get ghosted or stood up. Unfortunately, we have had our fair share of flakes and time wasters over and above the normal LS flakes and time wasters! Seems they have no regard for the fact that we live here and have normal lives and jobs. They’re on vacation, they expect us to meet them whenever they want. They are on their own time schedule and expect you to wait around for them to make up their minds about what they’re doing next. Some of our favorites lines and untruths:

“We are here with vanilla friends, but we can sneak away when they go to bed…” Never happens

“My business dinner will be done no later than 8:00…” Goes until 11:00

“Are you available to meet on a Tuesday night at 10:30?” Uh, no. I have to work in the morning!

“We had too much to drink at the pool, we will text you as soon as we nap and sober up…” You knew we had a date but you chose to get shitfaced anyways.

Anyone else about to give up on out of towners?
