To anyone, anyone new or has been in the lifestyle, if you’re thinking about trying secrets out DO IT!! I can’t recommend enough going to Secrets resort!

My girl and I are new to the lifestyle, it was very intimidating at first thinking about going to such a resort. We had no idea what to expect, and there wasn’t all that much information for us to look through. We decided to take the plunge anyways.

First the staff! They’re all amazing, very helpful and respectful on every interaction I ever had with them.

We started on Thursday night which is the newbie night, pretty slow but a great foot in the door to understand how the facility works. Our stay was until Sunday. Thursday We made a couple of connections but nothing to insane. We met a couple and did what they call a room craw, going and meeting new people and viewing the performances they may be putting on. We checked out the playroom, which was slow but there were some people to enjoy. So much fun! We finally called it a night around 4am.

Friday proved to be much busier and spent the day at the pool. It was crowded as they only have one pool, the other is under construction at the time. During the day it’s fun getting to mingle and talk with like minded people. We took a midday nap to get rested for the evening at the club. After spending a bit of time in the club we decided to go to the playrooms, we learned that this is not for the faint of heart on a busy night. There were quite a few single men somehow lurking at every corner. None were aggressive but a few got too close without an invite. Our night ended with this and we went to bed.

Saturday was another great time at the pool. We deepened some of the connections that we had made previous date with a few couples. Again the pool was very busy as it’s the only one open, by mid afternoon we went back again and napped. That night the club was hoping and the rooms were insanely busy. Saturday is the night to go without a doubt.

Okay so recommendations that we learned:

1) do not be afraid to lurk if the window is open. Room windows are open for a reason. (Window open door shut: enjoy the show! Window open with door open feel free to enter and get a closer view)

2) just because the door is open DOES NOT MEAN GO IN AND START TOUCHING! You can enter but make sure you talk to the couple(s) before grabbing ahold.

3) use the vending machine Ice. The water at Secret is hard sulphur. We learned that the ice they use at the bars is also used from the same water source. Friday we ended up drinking quite a bit from the bar and ended up with stomach aches from what we are assuming is the ice and water used in the syrups because we were both pacing ourselves and we were not intoxicated. Saturday we order drinks with no ice and it was a noticeable difference.

4) do not play in the playroom unless you’re ready for it. Go watch and observe. We played and it was just a bit much where we ended up not fully enjoying our time in there. Specially on a busy night.

5) don’t be shy to talk to people regardless your thoughts on “out of your league.” We left with contacts for several people that we are considering friends after leaving Secrets. Everyone is like minded and there for the same reasons as you are.

6) contrary to some of the reviews that we read, their food is actually pretty good. It is not a gourmet meal by any means, but for a typical pub menu it was good. So order up

I truly hope this helps anybody trying to figure out if they want to go or not. I’m an open book and will answer any questions you might have so that’s my ability, we will definitely be making a return trip in the near future and can’t wait for it!
