We (30f and 37m) have been having experiences with others for two years now. We started out with newbie couple rules like “no kissing” as we were afraid of seeing each other romantically connecting if that makes sense.

That quickly went overboard, and we’ve been pretty much “anything goes” since then. The basis however always was just sex, lust. There usually was a bit of affection going on leading up to sex like caressing and kissing, and maybe a bit of cuddling after sex.

Now we met a couple and they are so affectionate and cuddly… we even had a second date that turned non sexual because of me getting my period earlier than expected, and that date was just so lovely, we cuddled and talked and chilled all evening. In our first (sex)date as well there was way more cuddling and affection going on. We both absolutely love it! It doesn’t cross the line towards polyamory we think, it’s just that we all are really affectionate people. It is maybe a form of love, but not love.

Is this abnormal? How much affection do you all have going on?
