Blowjobs: how do you approach them?

Ladies (and some men. Don’t mind me, just being hetero over here), when you give a blowjob in a play scenario, do you offer it? Or does the man request it? Personally, I never request it. I’m of the mind that I don’t want the kind of blowjob that I have to ask for. I know that some women suck dick out of a feeling of obligation in group settings. If she offers it to me, then I know that she wants to do it. This approach has lead to me not getting many blowjobs. Perhaps I might be wrong. Ladies, how do you feel about a man asking you to/suggesting you suck his dick?
