If you are a citizen of the United States and there's any chance that you'll want to go to Hedo, Desire, or any other foreign resort early in the new year, check your passport expiration date now. The State Department's backlog on passport renewals is up to eleven weeks at this time, and up to seven weeks if you pay an extra $60 for "expedited" turnaround.
We're thinking about Desire in early February, since I sent mine in the end of October.
