My wife and I had our first club experience this weekend at choice in RI. We were very nervous and didn’t talk anyone much but had a great time regardless and plan on going back. Figured I would give my first impressions from an ethically non monogamous couple (25m)(25f) dipping our toes in after years of consideration.

To start off Choice itself was awesome and the staff were excellent. Atmosphere felt safe, clean and fun. My wife was anxious that she would feel gross going to a club but she was pleasantly surprised. Only thing I could really gripe on their end was the music selection but I suppose that’s subjective.

People wise I guess I didn’t really know what to expect but it was very interesting. Quite a diverse crowd, plenty of people we thought were attractive, but weren’t quite ready to approach. That being said we got some looks from a few older couples that kinda creeped us out. Walking in their peripheral vision and then their heads would snap to us like some kind of laser guided targeting system that followed us until we’re were out of view. Feel like we should have chatted up some of the younger couples who looked about our age but the social anxiety got the better of us.

Toward the end of the night we did end up having sex in one of the rooms with the door closed and it was great. Thinking next time we’ll leave it open with the chain across. Besides that it a was pretty standard romp for us.

Only thing I really didn’t like were the solo males. One guy approached us and tried to talk to my wife as if I wasn’t there and she politely told him we weren’t interested. I’m a bit of an exhibitionist and enjoy being watched, but the idea of being watched by those guys is off putting, it’s the reason we had the door closed. It’s like those dudes are always lurking around waiting for some kind of action to happen so they can all swarm over to it.

Overall it was a great experience and we will be going back. But I think next time we’re going to have to make some friends. It’s fun to be watched, just not by everyone.
