Why are vanilla friends becoming boring?

How many times have you felt that it is a waste of time meeting vanilla friends? We are getting this feeling very often. Not in lockdowns obviously but long before that. Whenever we meet vanilla friends, we tend to think, oh it would have been so much better if we had met lifestyle friends, not even with an aim to have sex only, but other friendly activities..
Are we heading towards a lifestyle friendship only life?? Who else feels things in the same way?
