How do parents that swing do it?

I'm wondering what parents with younger ones do to keep things separate and not overwhelming.
Do you have a babysitter?
Do you allow people to come over when kids are sleeping?
Do you ever introduce the kids to them?
Do you keep them completely isolated from the entire idea?
Do you go to hotels/cabins/Airbnbs? Over other people's houses?
I'd really like to hear what people do. We are still new and haven't actually been with another couple or single, nor have we introduced our kids to anyone. We've only chatted with couples/singles and I've met one at the gym alone.
