Having been part of a popular and respectable BDSM club in a major US city, I’m coming into this lifestyle with certain biases. At said club, there was a very strict rule against drugs and alcohol of any kind. The moderators of the club had the right to kick anyone out they even suspected of being under the influence. This was for the sake of preserving active consent.
That said, it seems that swingers don’t hold to a similar standard when it comes to intoxication. I don’t mean to criticize at all; I simply would like some input on why this is the case.
Are there swinger clubs that have similar rules?
Why is there such a laissez-faire attitude about swinging and the potential for people to be hurt?
Please let me know if I’m mistaken about any of this. I’m truly here to learn and grow. Thank you!
