So the SO and I talked about going to a swingers club and we finally went. Below is summary and some questions below.

We signed up for an event that was couples only or females (our only preference) that was a costume theme. I had read different reviews of this place (some positive/some not) so thought to go on with an open mind.

The place opened at 10pm and was slated to be open until 6am. We decided from the reviews not to get there early and showed up around 1145pm since light until 1am with our BYO in hand. We had generally dressed for the "theme" but left our masks in our bag in case people didn't cater to the theme (this was the right call as about 90% didn't dress up). We mentioned to the staff it was our 1st time there (and for us ANY club like this) and he was very nice, gave us the tour and could not have been more helpful checking with us through the night. A win there.

We live in a large city and the club was in Miami so we had some preconceived notions of what it would be like since Miami is likewise a large metropolitan city. We expected it would be in larger area but when we pulled up in our car, we were surprised that it seemed to be in a "strip mall" of sorts typical in Florida and to us it looked like it was formerly a strip club that I probably visited back in the 90s (we never confirmed but think this was true). So from a 1st impression didn't love that.

As we walked inside we tried to get a vibe of the group. It was not that crowded and mix of ages and dress. We were surprised that 1) few people dressed up for the theme and 2) for a big city people (men moreso) were dressed pretty meh - collared shirts that were 5 sizes too big down to their knees, crappy jeans, etc. A few women were super sexy but otherwise not what we expected and my SO noticed a couple of good looking guys but not many. You could also smoke cigarettes inside which for us is a complete turn off and reminds me of the smell 10 years ago when that was allowed in most places so not great).

Since it was empty we circled the place on the tour we had been given earlier. There were rooms you could go in and lock, private rooms (we got one in advance) and a room sectioned off for group play where you could only go in with a towel or less. When we first walked in one section a guy was laid out on a chair getting a blowjob which was a turn on watching but we eventually moved on. We put our things in our private room and back to the bar.

There was little mingling at the bar and seemed like most knew each other and few tourists like us. The website did have a SOMEONE LIKES YOU where if you matched I guess it would show you who it was (we didn't do that but had 5 or so LIKES so prob could have done more before going). The music was okay (not great) and throughout the place TVs played like late 70s/early 80s porn which was def not a turn on and super fake (but maybe everyone there liked it so to each their own).

As it got closer to 1am people started going in the back section so we decided to see what we were missing. There were some rooms with 2 way mirrors which we thought was hot and debated going into but figured save it for the next place (assuming other places have them). We watched some people on chairs and sofas warming up and decided to get it on in our private room. I left the door cracked open while we started getting busy with my SO in her lingerie crotch snap I unbuttoned and had her ride me with her back to the door while about 7 or 8 people opened the door to watch up go at it and that was a huge turn on. The room was large enough that thought others may ask if they could get on the couch to go at it too (which we would have been okay with) but that didn't happen. We stopped before finishing and went back to the bar so we could save it for later.

We had a hot girl part of a couple milling near us that we think wanted us to chat her up (she was part of a couple) but 1st time didn't want to offend the SO (we later agreed we should have done so and maybe they would have been the couple in the room next to us...missed opp). We went to look in the group room and everyone was in towels and not naked at all nor it appeared to be swinging. We decided to take off and finish back at our hotel but did watch a hot woman riding a guy on a chair and both agreed it was super hot.

So all in all it was an interesting experience/experiment for us both newly dipping our feet and we appreciated going and the staff that worked there. Do have a few questions about other clubs in US to see how they compare to what we experienced.

- Are most of clubs (even in big cities) in more rural areas in strip mall kind of places? We envisioned 1 floor would be bar/dancing and others playrooms, etc but it was like a large 1 story ranch again former strip club. We like bigger city feel and generally a crowd like that but many who attended seemed to be from suburban FL cities (from the WHO's GOING page) and not dressed to go out like we expected/diff style. Any recs that have a less suburban feel (seems like on here people like Colette's in NO, Privata in Portland and hope ones like these might be more our speed?)

- For the clubs people have been to other US clubs, if there is a theme to people dress to theme? Do people dress up at all to look attractive/highlight their assets? We hope so but didn't find that at this Miami club

- Do they all play shitty porn or provide anything for more mental stimulation and decent music ( get these are subjective but can't believe the porn and music choices were preferred options for the crowd).

- Cleanliness - They said the clean rooms but we walked pass a couple that had wet sheets still in them with one that had a glass left in there that must have spilled. Didn't feel that clean so we almost wanted to be 1st in so we didn't worry about used sheets. Hoping other places in US are better.

Thanks in advance and anything we could/should have done differently. We will def visit some others throughout our travels but hoping the next one we go to is better than the one we went to last weekend.
