Naturally, most countries reporting in here are from English speaking countries, with United States at the top of the list, with Canada and some European destinations making a showing. But does anyone have any insight or experience with the scene in Nicaragua?

Adjacent Costa Rica is arguably the more progressive culture, with a scene for more live music festivals, yoga retreats, exploratory hallucinogenic movements (things that are not entirely in my wheelhouse, but do lend itself to more of the lifestyle scene). So does any of that vibe flow into Nicaragua?

There are some port cities, and reading about these cruise ship experiences, I wonder if the lifestyle cruises ever disembark in these beautiful, tropical port towns?

Finally, there are some planted, burgeoning expat communities here that import their ideals across the full spectrum (missionary work to more hedonistic tilts).

We would like to know if there is an (underground?) scene and community in this country, any clubs or parties, have you experienced it, and if so, what is the secret handshake.
