Reality check - is high-risk HPV a dealbreaker?
Post Body

Years ago, my then-wife got a Pap that revealed pre-cancerous cells on her cervix. Got them treated, all was good for about five years. Then, the problem recurred. We were in the midst of our divorce, so I never found the result, but she had another procedure to deal with that round.

Fast forward a few years. My current partner gets a Pap, pre cancer cells. No procedure, but second colposcopy after the vaccine reveals they're not going away. HPV test reveals it's high risk (persistent) but not one of the major strains associated with cancer (16 or 18).

So basically, we're stuck with this infection. My partner is afraid to go down on me for fear of throat cancer, and is lamenting never going down on anyone else again for the rest of her life.

Is this the end of our non-monogamy? We would never play without informing our partners of this reality. But realistically, is there anybody who would be willing to play with us in this situation? Are we done?
