Why is ghosting suddenly so common?
Post Body

My wife and I have casually dabbled in the lifestyle for several years. In that time, we've chatted with more people than we can count, and met up with some of them. The problem that we've only recently encountered is people ghosting us. In the last two weeks, we've been ghosted twice.

The first was a couple with a hotwife that I was chatting with solo and felt like things weren't going bad. Then, she said they were taking a break, but she would let me know when they got back into it. She then proceeded to immediately post another ad looking for a single guy. I wasn't bothered by the fact that she may not be interested. I was more bothered by the fact that she lied for whatever reason. I don't feel like I pushed any boundaries that could have made anyone uncomfortable, so I have no idea why that one went south.

The most recent just happened today. We chatted with the husband for the past week or so, and things seemed to be going great. Earlier in the week, we made plans with them for this evening for dinner and drinks, and everything seemed perfectly fine. When we got home from work this evening, I went to send them a quick "see you soon" message to make sure they knew we were looking forward to it and make sure all was still good, but they had left the chat this morning and blocked us on Kik. Hopeful that it was a mistake, we went to message them on SLS only to find out they'd blocked us there as well.

We are at a total loss. If people are not interested, it's no big deal. We are adults and can take rejection, but to just disappear with no explanation is so freaking rude. These are also our first two experiences in a new town, so that makes all of this even worse.
