Sea Mountain - quick poll...better on Friday or Saturday

The wife and I are making another stop at Sea Mountain Inn (for the 3rd time). Other times have been very, very chill and during the middle of the week, which we liked a lot.
Advise for something that's a little more hopping but not overwhelming...we're taking it super-slow. It would be either Friday or Saturday afternoon into early evening...we're setting up camp (in a hotel) down in Palm Springs.
