Back in the day, you were able to open accounts on SLS and AFF with emails that weren't attached to your actual name and address and pay for the services with gift cards you had bought with cash. This allowed you to keep your identity hidden, for the most part at least.
Now, with so many states passing laws where you have to show ID to access certain "offensive" websites, I wonder if swinger sites fall into the group of sites where ID has to be documented.
I don't feel age verification rules allow for individual privacy. I have no problem with curtailing a minor's access to pornography, but I'm guessing that's just the canned answer as to what these laws are doing. I'm certain the laws are actually intended to shape people's behavior and are ultimately serving for some of the earliest steps in a sort of moral police state.
If I have to prove my age before I can view certain sites I'm fine with that as long as I have assurances that my activity there, and by extension my personal kinks, sexual interests, and actual real world behavior can be kept anonymous. I'm not sure that is possible now.
So, in these nanny states, are you guys still able to keep your anonymity on swinger sites?
