I had no idea what subspace was until i had my first MFM, and it's what got me into swinging. I really hadn't even been that excited about doing the threesome, but its something my husband had begged for for 14 years, and I decided I might as well as give him the memory before we got any older.
Everything from that night is fuzzy, but i remember the guy whispering in my ear "what's happening? It's like we are in a dream...." and that was the perfect description. I wasnt using any drugs when we hooked up, but I literally felt high and floaty and giddy for days after.
I had never felt that before. I still rarely get there, but whenever we are going through the boundary, what do you want discussion with new peeps, I always tell them I'm hoping to get into subspace. A lot of swingers have never heard of it. its a BDSM term i stumbled across when I was trying to figure what had happened to make it feel like a dream.
Health line describes it as 'the trancelike state some submissives experience during BDSM play. While subspace can feel different for different people, many describe it as feeling “light,” “floaty,” or “like mush.”
Thats a pretty perfect description. The only qualifier on my end is I'm not a sub, so I dont love that the term is referring to submissives. I wish there was another phrase that defines the feeling leaving the sub part out of it. If anyone knows of another word, please share!
It's my favorite feeling in the world. And the high last for a day plus. But its so hard to get there. I didnt even have an orgasm the first time I entered into subspace, so I know that isnt what set off the trance.
How about you guys? Have you experienced it? Do you experience it often? Any suggestions how to make it happen, or what works for you?
