Trapeze ATL vs Friction Carolina

Post Body

We (35M/34F) are trying to decide between between a night at either Trapeze Atlanta or Friction Carolina sometime in first half of 2025. We’ve been to other clubs a handful of times (Colette NOLA in particular) and definitely like the club atmosphere, but we have been considering trying out a hotel takeover. We really like playrooms, because even if we don’t vibe with another couple, we can always play together, watch and be watched. The idea of a hotel takeover is interesting to us as it seems like people there are slightly more interested in meeting and hooking up with new couples, but the takeovers that have playrooms set up seem pretty limited. The party floors seem like a decent substitute, but it seems like the amount of playing on the party floor varies significantly from promoter to promoter and event to event. It also seems like hotel takeovers can have a more cliquey element (not that clubs don’t, it’s just something we’ve seen in more takeover reviews). We just don’t want to end up going to a takeover, not find a good match for us, not a lot going on at the party floor, and we just end up back in our room by ourselves (not that we can’t have a great time by ourselves, but we can do that at home).

So, can anyone give us some feedback to help us decide? Any info, reviews, experiences, pros/cons of each, etc. are greatly appreciated. If we do a club, we are pretty much decided on Trapeze, but we’re open to other hotel takeovers if they seem like a better fit. We’re also geographically limited to NC, SC, and GA for this trip. As an FYI, we wanted to do Splash Atlanta, but the weekend doesn’t work for us.
