I am a 34F and my BF 45M. I am brand new and trying to explore and get out there. He is letting me take the reins so to speak. I feel that maybe the way I am phrasing things is off putting to other people in the LS. I don't have a lot of experience in general. I was married young to a very vanilla partner, whom tended to wave trying stuff in my face and then denying it at the time. I say things like I'm open and honest about my past, which now I think gives off the wrong impression. I also overthink things a lot. I want to be open and honest but is it to much to be honest right off the bat? I feel awkward or that people who do talk to us are off put because I'm new.
I feel I'm the reason those that do start to talk to us stop. I'm fully prepared that not everyone we reach out to is interested or going to respond. Those that have it stops relatively quickly. Maybe it's off putting that the female is conducting the majority of the communication.
Just looking for general guidance. Thank you
