Wife and I (46FM) were in Paris this weekend. We went to Taken on Friday night and Le Mask on Saturday night. Here's our take:
Both are easy to enter if dressed well (man is in dress shoes, slacks, and long sleeve shirt. Jacket is optional. Female needs heels and a dress).
Both require phones and coats to get checked-in upon entry. You are then given a card/number which is used to order drinks throughout the night. Payment is when your leaving. They also have a snack bar with pretzels, chips, candy to refuel between rounds.
Both only have 1 shower and no lockers, so everything needs to be checked in at entrance. When you undress, your clothes end up on the floor or in a corner, so don't wear your best suit/dress. They both felt more like "sex clubs" i.e., couples pursuing mostly parallel play with a bit of soft swap but rarely did we notice others going for hard swaps.
The differences: Taken is slightly bigger and has a bar area, a well lit dance floor surrounded by seats (where little play happens) and a large back section with 1 large bed and 3 nooks where play ensues. The crowd is younger and prettier. Condoms aren't provided, so bring your own.
Le Mask has a bar area with an adjacent lounge area where play starts. It is very dark with an older and more diverse crowd. The downstairs has a small dancefloor with 3 nooks. Plenty of condoms are available. We felt some couple weren't partnered and you'd come across several men roaming the rooms alone.
Recommendation: If you only have 1 night, go to Taken. Otherwise, visit both to check out a slightly different scene. We unfortunately didn't have a chance to visit Les Chandelles. Will do on our next visit and update the review!
