How long to wait for a response when making plans?

Issue that we have ran into a few times so thought we'd ask here.
Couple we met a few months ago and want to make plans with (for context they asked us to meet dinner but we have busy jobs and couldn't swing it). Sent a text to make plans, how long do you wait before you forget about them? In our case we texted them on Sunday for plans tomorrow (they saw and liked the message but haven't responded yet).
Any advice would be appreciated!
