So my wife and I recently had our first ENM experience. Mostly played with each other but did some soft swap with the other couple.

Anyway, we have couple that we are very close friends with. Our kids are playmates, we meet up 2-3 times a week just to hang out or let our kids hang out. They were the first friends we had when we moved to our small town. We are very comfortable around them and feel comfortable discussing most things together.

So yesterday we had gone out for a beer and we tell Nate and Sammie (changed names) about our soft swap experience.

To both of our complete surprise (idk if it matters but they’re about 10 years older than us) they both cracked these huge grins and Nate says “we’ve been open for some time now”. Idk how we never knew, I guess they just never gave off that vibe.

So they politely inquire about our experience and wifey and I ask them some Qs regarding their relationship.

As I said we are tremendously comfortable with them and they are quite attractive. We are curious about asking them to play with us. We don’t wanna make things awkward between two people whose friendships we’ve come to really enjoy.

Long winded way of asking is hooking up with friends a good idea or should we stick to the dating apps we’ve been on?
