Post Body

I just did a post where I was talking about a guy who habitually stands us up, and i wasn't looking for feedback if we should keep seeing him or not, we find the stand ups irratating, but its really not that big of a deal to us. I was more hoping to hear what other asshole behaviors people have encountered on their dates.

Being stood up is definetly disrespectful, but its not the sort of disrespect that we won't see him again over - based on the fact he has a skill set we want and can't find elsewhere. Universally all the feedback was that it was nuts to keep seeing this guy.

I dont mind that all the comments were focused on how lacking in self respect i must be to keep seeing this guy - it's reddit, posts rarely go as I expect. But it made me think of a post I did a weekish ago about being upset and jealous of a couple we were seeing where I broke it off with the couple because I hated the way they totally ignored us at a swinger event when we had all been planning on hanging out together at it. I knew we would all be talking to new people, but I didn't expect to be ignored by them the way were, I considered it completely disrespectful and hurtful, so we stopped seeing them.

Universally the feedback was that jealousy in the lifestyle is nuts and I shouldn't have been upset about them prioritizing new people instead of hanging out with us. I HATED the way that made me feel, and even though i really liked the couple, i felt like i had too much self respect to be put on the back burner like that.

I guess we just have different bars for what would make us not want to hang out with people anymore. I would prioritize someone who makes me feel like a amazing everytime I do see them - even if they do so an abysmal percent of the time, to someone who always shows up, but makes me feel terrible sometimes when they do.
