We live in an area that’s not super populated and for that reason we only have so many “prospects” if you will. We like to try to have a video chat with a single or couple before the conversation goes to far for two reasons. 1. It puts everyone at ease knowing that everyone is real and it’s not some weird internet scam. 2. It’s a good initial way to get a feel for the other person/couple before investing time and money into a meet up. We have found that even people who by all means seem to be very legitimate just stop responding at the point in which this is mentioned. Keep in mind it’s always a “hey we would like to do this some time that works out for you, no rush, no pressure”. I’d this a good sign that it’s weeding out the fakes? Or are we making people uncomfortable and potentially missing out on good connections??
