How to verify people are clean?

My wife and I are considering getting into the lifestyle or bringing in a third person. How do you go about verifying that people really are clean and disease free? We are std free and would prefer to stay that way haha. Obviously we would be practicing safe sex but condoms do break and there is always the risk of some fluid swapping no matter how careful you are.

You just do the best you can. There are no guarantees. Some people walk around with tests in their pocket - but some people fake test results too (seen it).
You plan to play safe. You talk to the people you’re gonna play with and make a judgement call.
