After lurking this sub I’m fully aware the general consensus is: don’t fuck your friends. But…

My (41m) wife (40f) and I have found ourselves interested in the LS. This is primarily due to the fact that we had a a few experiences with another couple that have also expressed interest.

The rub is that we have been friends with these people for several years and very social together (concerts, vacations, etc). We’ve always been flirty and it seems like there’s mutual attraction all the way around. So we had a blunt and open conversation about exploring these feelings together, so we did. Mainly resulted in parallel play with some very soft swap. So far no catastrophes.

My question. Have there been any experiences where couples have successfully navigated the complexities of friends turned play partners? Or should we just bring this thing full stop before it gets messy? Our original thoughts were that this would be an “easier” introduction since there’s already established levels of comfort and trust.

If nothing else the experience has brought my wife and I closer and we are already planning on exploring this more. So for that we are happy.
