So, I am processing what feels like a really messed up situation. It wasn't til everything happened that a friend outside this group clued me in that this group of people I had been hanging with for over a year is known for swinging.

In that time, some chemistry developed between me and a guy in the group. One night I bring him home and this woman who is his "best friend" and married - like me he's a single dad - but she winds up bringing his traumatized kids over in the middle of the night after sending two belligerent texts to us both. They really read like blackmail.

Now he's not talking to me. I went no contact with her. Our kids are finally playing together - but that's what lead to me finding out that I've been hanging with swingers.

Aren't there like best practices for this? I feel like I should have been informed before the fact.
